Our Team

Meet Our Dental Team

We think we have one of the best dental teams in Ashland Oregon. It’s not just the education and experience each one of our team members has. And it’s not the incredible amount of time they have been with us and working as a team.

What really makes our team stand out is the incredible passion each one of our team members have for the work they do. It is the fact that they are all caring and compassionate as well as the fact they have a deep understanding of our patients and their needs.

Dr. Jacksondr jackson dentist ashland oregon

I was born and raised in Muncie, Indiana. I was the oldest of seven children. I met the love of my life, Linda, in high school but didn’t realize it until the year before dental school. We were married in my freshman year of dental school. With her loving support I graduated from the Indiana University School of dentistry in 1972. After two years as a dentist in the U.S. army at Ft. Monroe, Virginia, we moved to Ashland.Let’s fast forward through the next forty years. We are now blessed with a son and daughter who are both married and we have a total of five grandchildren. Spending time with our kids and grandchildren has our highest priority. You might find us watching our grandkids in sports and school activities, much like we did with our own kids. If not, then we are probably camping, fishing, boating, running, horseback riding or traveling. You might hear me say how I go to work to relax! There are ten days in September that you wont see me around. I take my two horses and two mules and travel along with four very good friends to northeastern Oregon for our annual bow hunting trip for elk. That’s another whole story!

I am truly blessed as a dentist to have a talented staff. I am very grateful for such great and loyal patients who have entrusted to me their oral and dental health care. I sincerely hope that some day I will be honored to gain your trust as a new patient.

I come as local as they get, I am born and raised in Ashland Oregon. From SOU preschool, to Bellview elementary, and to being a grizzly at AHS, I have the privilege of being a product of this community. I come from a wonderful supportive family. My late father Dave Kitchell left a wonderful legacy by being a coach and teacher in this community for over 25 years. I love to spend time with both my mother Tricia, who still teaches at Talent Middle School, and my sister, Mackenzie, who is finishing college.  After graduating from AHS, I attended the University of Oregon. Go Ducks! I graduated with a degree in General science with an emphasis on Organic Chemistry and Anatomy.  I worked in Dr. Jackson’s office during the summers, and the time I spent with him in his office inspired me to become a dentist. I looked up to him as a man who promoted the health of his patients, relieved their pain, and brightened their smiles—all while having fun.  I graduated from the Oregon Health & Sciences University School of Dentistry and moved back to the Rogue Valley to practice with my uncle, Dr. Jackson. I spend my free time now as a volunteer coach at AHS, as a member of the Elks, and spending time with my family, friends and beautiful girlfriend Kate, enjoying all the Rogue Valley has to offer. I would love to earn your respect and trust as not only your dentist, but as a proud member of this community.
